Tarón Reserva (Tempranillo, Mazuelo), Rioja, Spain
The oldest vines of over 70 years of age provide the fruit for this reserve wine. Low yield and small berries result in a deep, firmly structured wine with intense aromas and flavors of ripe red berries, black cherry and vanilla, with nuances of citrus peel and spice enhanced by 14 months in American oak barrels.
