JUNE TELLER 12

Whites

Di Giovanna (Rosé), Sicily, Italy

This wine is made from organic grapes harvested by the Di Giovanna family’s first vineyard. Since then, they have cultivated grapes for five generations with great passion and pride which is reflected in all of their wines.

Gateway (Vinho Verde), Portugal

Fruity and refreshing . . . perfect alone or as a white Sangria mixer with strawberry juice, fresh mint and lime, over ice!

Maison Philippe Viallet (Chasselas, Chardonnay, Altesse, Jacquere), Savoie, France

Bright light straw color with green and grey hints. Discreet and smoky nose with aromas of stewed fruits and notes of honey. The mouthfeel is light and straight, with a good minerality and slight saltiness on the finish.

Six Hats (Sauvignon Blanc), South Africa

Fair trade by a co-op of farmers who believe in Partnership, Change, Potential, Equity, Dignity, and Sustainability . . . this wine is  crisp and lively, with an elegant balance of fruit and acidity.

Les Vignerons de Florensac (Picpoul Blanc), France

Fresh and fine aromas of grapefruit and exotic fruit. Lime flavors, with typical focusing acidity, are hallmarks of the Picpoul grape. This is to the Mediterranean coast of France what Albarino is to northwest Spain. Default wine for fresh shellfish.

Wente (Riesling), Livermore Valley, California

Family-owned. Estate grown. Sustainably farmed. Since 1883, five generations of Wentes have cultivated the land in northern and central California. This Riesling has classic aromas and flavors of tropical fruits, citrus, honeysuckle and spice.

Reds

Kiona (Lemberger), Red Mountain, Washington

This bright, medium-bodied, fruit-forward wine surprises many with its unique characteristics. It has a vibrant, well-balanced palate along with plenty of earth and spice that showcases Red Mountain’s terroir. Great summer red.

Heavyweight (Cabernet, Zinfandel, Cab Franc), California

The blackberry and currant aromas are swift and lingering. Rich fruit flavors don’t faint or dodge- they’re straight ahead and swarming. Like the best heavyweights, the flavors come at you in combinations and by the time you figure one out, you get hit with another.

Taron 4M (Tempranillo), Rioja, Spain

Ripe cherry and plum on the deeply pitched nose, with a peppery nuance adding lift. Chewy bitter cherry and dark berry flavors show good energy. Finishes with lingering spiciness and a hint of cherry compote.

Imprint (Primitivo), Puglia, Italy

Winemaker Mark Shannon made this wine with his personality – – – forward, friendly, and full of life. Enjoy it with your favorite charcuterie platter, or a juicy rack of BBQ ribs.

Ferraris (Barbera), Italy

Pristine fruit aromas and primary flavors that are supported by considerable structure, complex texture and great balance. Exuberant and very fine, this is a Barbera to savor young.

Nicodemi (Montepulciano), Italy

Organic. Licorice and warm blackberry jam on the nose, the mouth is silky and pure, full-bodied, a gorgeous mouthful of blueberries and blackberries and baking spices.
