Teller 12

September Teller 12

Fabrice Gasnier (Cabernet Franc), France

Cravatine is a lovely sparkling wine produced in the labor intensive Methode Champenoise style. Aromas of strawberries and minerals.  This bubbly has a dry, velvety mouthfeel with soft tannic structure and a slightly spicy finish.

Fantini Farnese (Trebbiano), Italy

Bright, with persistent and intense aromas of peach, orange blossom and white flowers.  Best served with: starters and light first courses, white meat and fresh cheese, excellent with fish.

Sean Minor (Chardonnay), California

Displays aromas of pears, apples and tropical nuances with subtle notes of butter. On the entry, pear and green apple flavors are framed by nice acidity.  The green apple and peach flavors evolve into a hint of minerality that adds complexity to the lengthy finish.

Willm (Gentil), Alsace, France

The Willm vineyard, combining Grand Cru Kirchberg de Barr, was planted in 1896.  Straighforward attack with a refreshing, elegant and harmonious palate.  Enjoy it with cold meats and mixed salads.

Fantini (Montepulciano),D’Abbruzzo, Italy

A balanced and rich Rose with a bright Pink color and delicate fragrance.  Fruity notes of red berries and pairs beautifully with soft cheeses, white meats and fish.

Dom. Du Pere Caboche (Sauvignon Blanc), Vaucluse, France

This white Petit Caboche is very pretty pale yellow in color, with hints of green and gold and floral aromas, typical of the Sauvignon grape. Dry and full bodied. A tremendous value.

** We recommend chilling your whites but taking them out of the fridge  30-40 minutes before serving for the flavors to open up in room temperature.

Predator (Organic Zinfandel), Lodi, California

An intense wine with juicy fruits, spice and silky smooth tannins.  Big flavors of blackberry, spicy white pepper, French vanilla and spearmint.  Ending with a big smoky finish, it makes this our favorite go-to BBQ wine.

Hahn (Merlot), California

A taste reveals a round, well bodied red wine with darker flavors of cassis and chocolate framed by medium tannins and a soft touch of acidity.  A slight dryness and a hint of vanilla support this wines long finish.

L’Effet Papillon (Grenache Noir), Cotes Catalanes, France

Offers lots of black cherry, kirsch and floral notes, medium body and a fleshy mouth-feel.  It is a delicious bistro-styled red that will provide lovely drinking over the next several years.

Heavyweight (Petite Sirah), Lodi, California

The Scotto Family has been making wines for 5 generations.  This Petite Sirah is deeply colored and full bodied with oak accented stone frit flavors.  Your go-to weeknight wine.  Think chicken pot pie, and turkey brie panninis.

Fantini Farnese (Sangiovese), Italy

Sangiovese’s claim to fame is its role as the heart of Chianti, Brunello and many Super Tuscan wines.  When grown in a suitable location the grape’s soft tannins, succulent acidity and moderately intense cherry and herb flavors make it very easy to drink as well as supremely versatile at the table.

Leese-Fitch (Cabernet Sauvignon), Napa, California

Bursts out of the glass with aromas of black cherries and dried black currants complemented by notes of espresso and sweet oak.  On the palate flavors combining dark chocolate and blueberries are framed by drying tannins, leading to a clean finish with hints of caramelized plums and spice.

**We recommend chilling all of your reds down to 60-64 degrees before serving.
